Our approach to remuneration management is based on the idea of role growth - the continuous alignment between the complexity of the task and the capabilities of the person, so that the mandatory demands of the job are met (performance) and the person gives their discretionary effort (contribution) as their skills and knowledge grow. We use a leading edge role evolution technology known as Evolution Matrix© which enables localised/team based management of role growth (and remuneration outcomes) within a corporate strategy and system that ensures whole of business equity. We also work with the Australian Institute of Management in designing and developing remuneration packaging and knowledge based approaches to remuneration.
The benefit of our approach is in the integration of skill and knowledge growth with task complexity - it capture the natural rhythm of the work context and emphasizes the coaching rather than judging role of the manager. It puts learning at the centre of performance rather than just measurement and encourages people to find ways and means to improve their personal contribution.
